2025 KidWind Challenge in Asia

Dear teachers and students:

The sixth KidWind Challenge in Asia is about to begin! We are proud to announce that at this year's World Championship in the United States, Taiwan's delegation delivered an outstanding performance, winning two world championships in the high school and elementary divisions, receiving congratulatory telegrams from the President and Vice President, and being received in person by the Premier. This not only demonstrates our teams' world-class strength on the international stage, but also highlights the excellence of the KidWind Challenge in Asia's selection system. This year's competition is jointly supervised by the Ministry of Education and the Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, reflecting Taiwan's strong commitment to green-energy education.

To enhance the competition experience and align with international standards, this year's event introduces the following changes:

1. Revised wind-tunnel measurement procedure: Instead of measuring in team-number order, a token system will be used, allowing teams to schedule their measurements flexibly — in sync with the World Championship format.
2. New challenge in the finals: Two wind tunnels will be set up — one medium-low speed and one medium-high speed — testing teams' all-round ability to adapt their turbine setups to different wind conditions.

The success of this competition depends on the strong support of government, industry, and academia, and above all on the enthusiastic participation of teachers and students. We warmly invite more teachers and students to join this celebration of green energy — bring your creativity and talent, and together let's contribute to a sustainable future!
