The KidWind Challenge in Thailand is part of the KidWind Challenge in Asia. Co-hosted by the School of Science at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL) and the Asia-Pacific Energy Science Education Association (AESEA), in partnership with KidWind and Vernier Thai, it gives Thai high school students a world-class competition stage to explore renewable energy and get hands-on with wind power technology.
True to KidWind's learning-by-doing spirit, students design, build, and test their own small wind turbines in wind tunnel trials. Scoring is based primarily on electrical energy output within 30 seconds, together with creativity, structural stability, and energy conversion efficiency — and the top teams go on to represent Thailand at the KidWind Challenge in Asia!
This competition marks a milestone in Taiwan–Thailand green energy education cooperation, sharing technology and resources to inspire green energy innovation among young people across the Asia-Pacific.
