Dear teachers and students,
The 7th KidWind Challenge in Asia is about to begin! We are proud to announce that at this year's World Championship in the United States, Taiwan's delegation stood out among 125 teams and 550 participants from around the globe with an outstanding performance. Our students not only captured four world championship titles — nearly one-third of all championship awards — but also swept three special honors: the Judges' Award, the KidWind Spirit Award, and the Blade Engineering Award! After the competition, the teams received congratulatory messages from the President and Vice President, and were received in person by the Premier. This not only demonstrates our teams' world-class strength on the international stage, but also highlights the excellence of the KidWind Challenge in Asia's selection system.
This year's competition once again enjoys the joint guidance and support of the Ministry of Education, the Energy Administration of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, and the participating county and city governments and industry partners — a clear testament to the high priority Taiwan's industry, government, and academia place on green-energy education. This December, we will welcome a "six-nation showdown in Taiwan," with teams expected from Thailand, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Vietnam, and beyond, joining us to build friendships through science and advance citizen diplomacy.
To enhance the competition experience, deepen its educational roots, and align with international standards, this year's competition introduces the following:
The success of this competition rests on the strong support of government, industry, and academia — and above all on the active participation and enthusiasm of teachers and students. We sincerely invite more teachers and students to join this celebration of green energy: bring your creativity and talent, and contribute together to a sustainable future!
We look forward to your participation!
Cordially,
AESEA (Asia-Pacific Energy & Science Education Association)
