The Asia-Pacific Energy Science Education Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association) would like to express our deepest gratitude and respect to our friend Mr. Sugi and to the more than 15 dedicated educators from Nagoya and other parts of Japan. Through the collaborative efforts of both Taiwan and Japan, the first "KidWind Challenge in Japan" has successfully concluded. This was not only a spectacular competition but also the beginning of an exciting new chapter in renewable energy and science education.
As the first KidWind event held in Japan, this was a challenge of great historical significance. The participating Japanese teachers demonstrated admirable passion, teamwork, and dedication, wholeheartedly committing to every detail of the preparation and execution. Their efforts were the key to the event's massive success. On behalf of the Association, President Chien-Heng Chou emphasized that the most touching outcome was seeing the students display genuine enthusiasm for scientific activities, actively participate in the competition, and gain abundant knowledge through hands-on experience. The children's curiosity and bright smiles made this event even more radiant.
This exchange with Japan holds a particularly profound meaning for the Association and President Chou. President Chou recalled that 44 years ago, his father brought him a book written by a Japanese scholar, which ignited his passion for and exploration of wind power technology. This wind energy journey, originating from Japanese knowledge, makes today's cross-border cooperation and friendship in science education even more moving and extraordinary.
Looking ahead, the Asia-Pacific Energy Science Education Association hopes to build closer ties with educators across Asia and is committed to integrating green energy and related science education into the textbooks and classrooms of mainstream schools. We firmly believe that through the cross-border promotion of science education, we can not only inspire the younger generation to contribute to a sustainable future but also deepen the beautiful friendships and cooperative networks between countries. The first KidWind Challenge in Japan is not just the starting point of a competition, but a crucial milestone in our shared commitment to a greener future.
This winter, the Association will grandly host the "KidWind Challenge in Asia" in Taiwan. We sincerely invite researchers, teachers, and students from Japan and the Asia-Pacific region to join us in this remarkable event. We look forward to continuing to provide a platform for the next generation to learn and challenge themselves through wind power, renewable energy, science, and creativity, while fostering deep friendships across borders.
Thank you once again to all our partners in Japan, and we look forward to seeing you in Taiwan!
