2025 KidWind Challenge in Asia Central Regional: Wind-Power Innovation Put to the Test
The 2025 KidWind Asia League Central Taiwan Regional Preliminary, hosted by Yu Da University of Science and Technology with the Association as co-organizer, concluded successfully on September 27 at the university's campus in Miaoli. A total of 30 teams took part (14 in the senior high division and 16 in the elementary/junior high division), showcasing students' skills in turbine design, mechanism assembly, and resistance tuning. The level of competition surpassed previous years, and the spirit of sportsmanship and open exchange was on full display.
Distinguished guests attended to witness the students' creativity and hard work, including: Chang Yu-Teng, Dean of the College of Technological Innovation at Yu Da University of Science and Technology; Professor Lin Yen-Tsen, Dean of Research and Development; Professor Yeh Lu-Tso, Chair of the Department of Smart Mechatronic Engineering and Applications; AESEA Chairman Professor Chou Chien-Heng of Vanung University and Secretary-General Yang Tien-To; Principal Lin Yu-Chi of Junyi High School in Miaoli; Principal Huang Chien-Shu of Sheliao Junior High School in Nantou; and Head Judge Chen Kuan-Tse.
