2024 KidWind Wind Energy Asia League — Senior High and Vocational Division

The 2024 KidWind Wind Energy Asia League Senior High and Vocational Division Competition Concludes with Innovation on Full Display!

2024/11/9

The Senior High and Vocational Division of the 2024 KidWind Wind Energy Asia League has come to a successful close! 🎉 Competition between the teams was intense and full of challenges. In designing and building their wind turbines, teams had to create entries with excellent wind-direction tracking within a strict 100cm x 100cm size limit — a brand-new challenge for everyone! Adding to the excitement, this year we welcomed teams from Thailand competing for the first time, whose remarkable spirit of innovation and skill brought extra sparkle to the event!

This year's competition also introduced a new design challenge: a 90-degree change in wind direction, dramatically raising the difficulty. Many teams failed or fell short of expectations in their first measurement, yet worked tirelessly through the lunch break to refine their turbine designs — finally achieving breakthrough results in the second measurement. That spirit of finding and solving problems, and the persistence behind it, moved us deeply!

These outstanding performances deserve celebration — please join us in giving the winning teams the warmest round of applause! 👏
