2025 Chiayi Wind Cup STEAM + KidWind Sustainable Wind Energy Creative Hands-On Competition

Dear teachers and students of schools across Chiayi City and County:

This competition aims to raise awareness of and interest in green-energy education among teachers and students in the greater Chiayi area, while cultivating cross-disciplinary innovative thinking and hands-on skills. Blending scientific knowledge with hands-on creation, the event focuses on wind power and other sustainable-energy topics, encouraging students to work toward a sustainable future through direct participation.

Eligibility

Students in grades 5–6 of elementary school, and junior and senior high school students, enrolled at schools within Chiayi City and County (up to four members per team).

Schedule

• Registration opens: August 18, 2025
• Preliminary submission deadline: Friday, September 12, 2025, 17:00
• Finalists announced: September 13, 2025
• Finals: Saturday, September 20, 2025

Finals Venue

Gymnasium, Dongshi Junior High School, Chiayi County (No. 6, Shantong Rd., Puzi City, Chiayi County).

How to Register

Participation is via online registration.

Judging

Judging takes place in two stages: a preliminary review and the finals. In the preliminary stage, each team's written proposal is scored on completeness of content, design structure, and creativity. In the finals, on-site entries are judged on wind power generation efficiency (50%), creativity and technical feasibility (25%), and presentation skills (25%).
