2025 iBridge Cup Bridge Load-Bearing and Innovative Design Competition

Dear Teachers and Students:

Bridge engineering brings together technology, aesthetics, and sustainability. Since its debut in 2023, the iBridge Cup Bridge Load-Bearing and Innovative Design Competition has been warmly received. This year's edition is organized by the Department of Civil Engineering at National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology and co-organized by AESEA, once again inviting students from across the country to push the limits of engineering and creativity.

This year's competition introduces a new "arch structure" design requirement. Using the designated materials, participants must design bridges that are stable, elegant, and creative, then submit them to rigorous testing with the GoDirect Structures and Materials Tester. Entries are judged on both scientific load-bearing performance and innovative design concepts, fully embodying an educational spirit that values practice and creativity in equal measure.

The competition will be held at the Civil Engineering Building of National Kaohsiung University of Science and Technology, offering a professional setting while fostering exchange between schools of all levels and the university, helping students build engineering literacy and an international outlook.

• Competition date: Saturday, December 13, 2025
• Divisions: Elementary and Junior High Division, Senior High and Vocational Division (limited to 15 teams each)
• Registration deadline: now through 17:00 on Friday, November 28
